I will make a rubbings (of the TANG) and drawings (OSHIGATA) of the blade showing details in temper line, etc. (See Image) and fax them to a collector in Japan so he can research the current market value. In return the Japanese Collector will fax answer and current market value back to me. I will you show you the reply. Normally I will pay approximately 75-90% of the Japan price (depending upon the amount of restoration needed.) I don't mind paying top prices, but I must do my homework.
