It is an interesting fact to mention that the Yamato Tegai School received its name due to the fact that its workshop was built in front of the gate "Tegai-mon" belonging to the Todaiji Temple in Nara.

The characteristics of sword smiths of this time in same group was emphasized strongly on each work.
This swordsmith shows these characteristics very well.
